Re: Under-rated Jungle producers...

Squarepusher is certainly the most over-rated producer. He's not that big in "Europe" or whatever the t-shirt says, but people in the US buy his shit at k-mart cuz they saw it on the TV. Back in his home town people often call him "old bargain-bin squarepusher". Miles Davis even said "Squarepusher is something that can be defined as definitely 'not jazz'. So there you have it, from someone who is simultaneously un-defining music and defining jazz. Jazz is against music.

I dunno I think stuff like Fanu or ASC or like Alaska, Paradox tends to get ignored sometimes. Sometimes I don't think people are into the music as much and are just looking for songs with people talking about smoking weed and shit. Don't get me wrong, plenty of good songs have been written about weed. I dunno maybe people on the mellow jazz tip have a fan base I don't know about.

The whole goal of our label is legalization or atleast decrimialization and education for folks about weed......so I am always on the hunt for tunes related to that cause....but there are plenty of good tunes out there that don't even support or promote that. Hell, king without a crown outright states he doesnt need herb..it will only bring him down and I love that tune.

Re: Under-rated Jungle producers...

Anyone got a copy of Hard Normal Daddy? I've had over 500 cds get trashed or stolen. Is it possible in this day and age to internet it on over?

Oh yeah underrated? Pish Posh for sure, saw him play with posi-d on some shitty guitar monitors. "shitty guitar monitors" were the only intelligible words during the whole set. Indoor Storm is still one of my favorite dnb mixes of all times. You can hear all the words on that one.

Whoa you are for the decriminalization of weed? I used to know this kid that was for decriminalization, and he also jammed time-release cocaine suppositories up his ass every hour (12 hour suppositories), plus he was like totally working for al-qaeda. You must be a fundamentalist who is addicted to heroin, coke, and who like strapping packs of hot-dogs to their chest in order to skip the line at the DMV.
