You use clash vocals, but not conscious lyrics. I see. Nothing wrong with that.
Sentient Origin wrote:an the reason i wrote the blak king most high things is cuz half the people on this site are white an that choice of tune just it made me think of that video of the white rasta dude sumone posted a while ago .
So a white person can't imagine his personal god as being black? Is that why JC is always Scandanavian in European art, because white people can't have a Semitic god, either? Keep to yuor own kind, right?
I know plenty of white Rastafarians. You don't have to be a giant black dude to embrace the Rasta way of life.
"Until the colour of a man's skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes..."
Assuming that every white Rasta has the mindset of a college kid rebelling against his parents' religion, not knowing what he is doing, and coming across as a poser is a ridiculous and unfair stereotype. That video was incredibly funny, but to associate it with the simple fact that " half the people on this site are white" is pretty fucking rude.
I was kidding when I called you a racist. I thought that the ":P" made that pretty clear. Now, though, I think that you are being pretty unfair to people simply based on the "unfortunate" commination of their skin color and their religion.
How would a white kid from upstate New York feel if an Arab Christian came up to him and called him a douche for worshipping a Middle Eastern god? Insulted, I would imagine...
I'm not Rasta. I'm not anything, really. I do, however, take offense at someone casting dispursions, even unintentional ones, upon people simply because they, for whatever reason, disagree with their religion.
Sentient Origin wrote:like i said tho im not racist i just would never write a tune with lyrics like that
Then don't, but all that you had to sday (If anything) was that you didn't feel comfortable writing a song that had religious lyrics with which you do not agree.
I was kidding about you being racist, but your defensive reply has made you look sort of mean.
I'm still not calling you a racist, by the way.
