Just wanted to say the pack is awesome. Nothing but useful, high quality samples of good sounds. Very inspiring. Big up!

Re: Graphic Design help needed... [ Started by the_Archangel in Off-topic : 27 replies ]

I am not a graphic designer but...

what I would do is trace the image in Illustrator or  some other vector art program. Start bigger, so you have a good look for the intended result and where it starts to distort with pixel based resizing. And then, while tracing, constantly zoom it to different sizes to see if its accurate.
When you are happy with the result you can resize that to any size, because it is not laid out in pixels but a series of mathematical formulas that describe the shapes. smile

Yeah good tune. Wish I could have a listen of that remix.
I have a friend who used to say 'release the pressure' like in that song whenever he farted. tongue

I was wondering:

Renoise.
I have tried Guru and didn't like it. Live has been my tool of choice for almost 2 years now, and Acid before that.

Re: My fits ever computer crash! YAY!!! [ Started by the_Archangel in Off-topic : 58 replies ]

Sorry to hear that man. Sure you cant find a friend with the skills to fix it? Or at the very least take out the hard drive and get your files off. I am always weary of sending in my personal data to some computer repair outfit.

Best of luck.

Re: ubuntu or windows vista ? [ Started by akira in Off-topic : 37 replies ]

I got a hackintosh (PC running OS X) a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it had to go in for repair 2 days after I got it because my gf spilled apple juice on it. sad When I get it back I will try to use some audio apps on it.

Re: ubuntu or windows vista ? [ Started by akira in Off-topic : 37 replies ]

Ubuntu for everything except music. Windows XP for the rest.
I am sorry to say that although the DAWs are really there, if I cant use VSTs then I am dead in the water. sad

Topic: Sample browsing/organizing software? [ Started by Aczid in Production : 1 replies ]

Hi guys, I am looking for a tool that will let me browse my sample collection, showing the waveforms and playing audio previews of the samples I am browsing. I saw Logic has a feature like this, but I am looking for a standalone Windows/Linux app that will do something similar. A spectrum analyzer would also work for me.

If there is no such app, it would be cool if someone knows how to hook up the audio preview channel in Ableton to a spectrum analyzer so I can see the sample I am hearing while browsing for something I want to use.
