I second that. I've always enjoyed your production, and would be honoured to have the opportunity to do a Scottfro remix.
Sorry to hear about your ordinateur woes.

Re: jungle production competition [ Started by unsoundbwoy in Production : 221 replies ]
To make it up to unsoundbwoy for being slack with sending him samples, when I saw that the sample pack was uploaded to sendspace, knowing that people tend to have problems with sites like sendspace and given the fact that such sites only offer a limited time and number of downloads, I was going to put the sample pack on my ftp and post a link here. Ironically, I can't seem to download the sample pack because the sendspace link does not seem to be working properly; is anyone else having problems downloading the pack?

Argh. Slept on sending in samples.... sorry unsoundbwoy.

i want everyone to have a say over the direction of the pack and represent the diversity that is contemporary jungle
That seems fair. I don't want to be the old stick in the mud who didn't contribute; I'll hit you up with some samples.
Thank you for taking the reins of the competition.

Nice. I listened to it on my way to work this morning; respect. Definitely some big tunes in there. I'm honoured to be included amongst that list of producers.

Thank you. I seem to have received a good response in regards to this track, but sadly it did not win the production competition for which it was intended. To hear the winner, check out: <a href=" http://www.myspace.com/indajunglerecordings">myspace.com/indajunglerecordings</a>.

Wow, respect. This track was made for a remix competition put on by In Da Jungle Recordings (<a href="http://www.indajunglerecordings.com/">www.indajunglerecordings.com</a>); it didn't win the competition, but whatever, it was fun to make, and I still think that it is a dope tune.

As this is the first day of spring, in the spirit of "out with the old and in with the new", I thought that I might post something that I hope people would enjoy. This is an old tune that some of you may recognize from way back when (Clip and Carbine actually did a well wicked remix that tore this tune a new one); enjoy.

Baby Demo wrote:For sub bass just start with a basic sine wave. I use the FM synthesis in Soundforge. Open soundforge. Go to File then "new". Select 44,100 16 bit mono. Now go to Tools and the synthesis. Choose FM. Set the total output length to 2 seconds. Don't mess with the length envelope for now. Make operator shape Sine if it isn't by default. Change the amplitude to about -3.0. Make the frequency between 50.00-80.00 for a good sub. Leave feedback at 0 for now. Hit ok. There you have it, a perfectly looping sub made in soundforge. Shake your momma's china off the shelves.
Relatively early on in my jungle production days I witnessed Sixteenarmed Jack doing this, but I at the time I did not fully grasp the steps that he took to essentially make something out of nothing. Having previously subscribed to the theory that energy can be neither created nor destroyed, I was mesmerized by this evil madman's sorcery. Convinced that he was either the devil incarnate or at the very least a minion of the dark angel sent to do his bidding, I doused my eyeballs in essence of garlic and...........mmmmmmm bass.
Thank you for posting this.

Thanks for the info; I'll look into that.
Re: accomplice - ex per i mental (320kbps) [ Started by accomplice in Production : 10 replies ]
Thank you for your comments. As always, there is more where that came from, but I have to be honest, I find this track difficult to throw down in the club. Because I am in Korea and play for crowds who for the most part have never heard dnb let alone mash-up jungle, when playing out I have to be very careful about how far I push the envelope. This has definitely had an effect on my production, and as a result I've been concentrating more on melody; something that the tune in question is definitely lacking. Hopefully my drum editing has not suffered.
Baby Demo wrote:What cult did guy join out of curiosity?
I believe it is called Access, and like most belief systems, it is probably not entirely in and of itself entirely a bad thing. Unfortunately, it seems to have made my mastering guy (who by the way is brilliant in the studio) somewhat disinterested in working on tunes with others. I wish him well.
