Topic: ATTN: Everybody!!! Producers, DJ's, Labels, EVERYBODY.
I would like to take a moment to make a preliminary announcement regarding very special project that has the potential to boost jungle music in a very productive direction.
We are in the beginning stages of setting up an online "label collective" unlike any that has ever been in our scene. There will be a massive website dedicated as a portal to a vast digital realm of as many label and producers want to participate. It will be a digital music shop, but so, so much more than that.
Imagine a front page that has links to dozens upon dozens of different "mini labels." Each page for each label can have its own look, and can have complete creative control over its own musical content. A label can be one producer's pet project, a crew of a few close friends, or a network of as many producers as the label representative desires.
We will offer cheap mastering services for producers, as well, so that there will be a consistent level of quality throughout each of the songs.
We will have artist of the month features, featured DJ sets each month, interviews with producers and labels, and will always be open to suggestions from members of the community.
This will be a way for breakthrough producers to get noticed. It will be a way for old fogies to revamp their fan base. It has the potential to move this music forward in exciting new ways...
The most exciting part of all of this is that each "micro label" on this site will be able to rest assured that nobody will be able to take advantage of anyone else. This will be an all-inclusive community, and the entire point of it is for everyone to band together and push in the same direction. What is good for the least of us is good for all of us. One for all, and all for one, and all that... There will be practically 24/7 communication with very quick turnaound (I'm online more than your average WOW'er), full financial transparency, and the full assurance that everyone associated with the site will be at your beck and call, and will be there for no other reason that to help push the ever-living shit out of your music.
To answer your questions...
No. This is not a "digital label" trying to get a cut of your profits.
No. This is not just another digital music shop where you can drop your tune off and hope for a $10 paypal in six months for your share.
YES. This is the chance to start your own label, be it all by yourself or with friends, with practically no overhead other than whatever you want to pay for graphic design for your logo.
YES. We will most definitely be allowing already-existing labels, analog and digital alike, to bring over their rosters and catalogs. Fuck... This music wouldn't be here without you guys.
YES. This will be fucking awesome.
Best of all (IMO), we won't just be pushing digital releases. We are most likely going to do four site-financed vinyl releases a year, featuring the best of the material on the site. Hell yes.
We are still in the beginning stages of this. We're hashing out finer details, but the main idea is there. It won't be long before this springs to life, and breathes some much-needed new energy into our music. Not only will this provide a great place for listeners and DJ's to buy music, it will be an amazing promotional tool for up-and-coming producers to promote themselves. We may have effectively just eliminated the need to spend those agonizing years paying dues. 
I'm posting this now so that you guys can start thinking of serious label names and designing logos. What the fuck are you waiting for??
